KPI's

Key Performance Indicators
How do you know what your work is worth?
School is 9am until 3pm 5 days per week 5x5 class hours per week = 25 hours.
4 10 week terms approximates to 1,000 hours per year.
Your pay is knowledge and skills, have you been paid?

Record what you do and examine the results.

Look at your text book. Date your work, record your work rate, how long do you take to complete most exercises when working well.

Know your stats and work on improving them.

What would be the result of doing double the work in half the time.

Self taught

Leonardo Da Vinci was self taught, this skill is your aim.

Once you take responsibility for your education and learn to seek the answers yourself your there.

When the student is ready the teacher will come, if the teacher shows you that you do not need him/her the job is done.

My goal as your coach is to become redundant, you learn how to find out how by yourself.

Double your work in half the time

Repetition is needed to acuire the skill.
Too often I hear the statement do 1 hours homework per night.
Your not an employee, your self employed, its about how much your achieve work faster and more efficiently. Get speed first.
If your weak with your tables, have this image close, even laminate it.

Get your work space organizes, pens, ruler paper, work in columns, rule off after problems, show all working until you have FULL understanding or the problem.
Line up = signs, line up + signs horizontally and vertically, work on grid paper if you need to..

Instead of 30 problems in 1 hour do 60 in half an hour.

Why Journal

Why Journal or Blog?

Keeping an online journal of what your doing is a great way of seeing and demonstrating what your achieving. Great for planning and progress.

Think about how you are using your time.

24 hours per day
168 hours per week
8,760 hours per year

If you are at school from K,P,1 to 12 years at 40 weeks of 30 hrs per week
thats 1,200 hours per year or 16,800 hours at school.

Time is your most valuable quantity, you cannot save it, the 24 hours from yesterday is gone and cannot be used again, what did you achieve? Was it wasted?

What do you or will you have to show for your 16,800 hours at school?
